What’s new for FY21-22? The Virginia Diabetes Council will be implementing a statewide umbrella program for DSME Recognition and we are looking for some sites to join under our umbrella. By providing assistance with obtaining and maintaining ADA recognition, this umbrella program will take the administrative burden off of your site and allow you to focus on education.

In addition, this program will offer technical assistance and support for program development, quality improvement, curriculum, and training. We would appreciate it if you would take this short interest survey:

Does your organization have an ADA-recognized or AADE-accredited DSMES program?
If so, would you be interested in learning more about the possibility of bringing your program under the VDC umbrella?
If your organization does not have an accredited/recognized program, would you be interested in learning more about becoming an ADA-recognized program under the VDC umbrella program?
So we may better serve our partners, please provide a brief reason as to why you are or are not interested in the state umbrella program for DSMES.
